Arts Assembly '08
Delayed/Cancelled

At the March 14 Arts Advocacy Board of Directors meeting, a decision was made to postpone or cancel the 2008 Arts Assembly scheduled for May 18-20 in Morgantown. There were several reasons for this action (including the fact that WVU's graduation is that weekend and the change in dates of the Governor's Arts Awards, among others). The local arrangements people in Morgantown support the decision.

The Board will meet in May for a two-day retreat to discuss future assembly possibilities and sites and to focus on the mission and goals of Arts Advocacy. If you're interested in providing input, comments and/or recommendations, we encourage you to contact one of AAWV's Board members (see directory) or contact David Wohl directly at dwohl@wvstateu.edu.

We know that many of you were looking forward to coming to Morgantown and participating in the Assembly. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that our actions have not negatively affected your travel plans. Please check the AAWV website frequently for further updates.
