What You Can Do As An Arts Advocate:

Be politically savvy! Keep your legislator informed of the impact of the arts in your community. Invite him or her to your events, keep them on your mailing lists, and thank them for their support. Stay informed and let your lawmakers know what you want. Remember, you and your organization's members are voters. Make time to visit your legislators during the general session in Charleston (January through March) or during interim legislative sessions.
